Scouting for the Erie Canal Cycling Adventure
On Saturday David and I had an adventurous day scouting the beautiful Erie Canal region for my upcoming cycling adventure…..lots to see, great spot to bike and can’t wait for this summer tour!

We didn’t know we were so hip!
Last night David, Jean, Marilyn and I had dinner at the Drake Devonshire…or as it now commonly referred to as
“Drake on the Lake”.
If you were cycling with the Cyclopaths a few years back you will remember this spot fondly when it was the Devonshire Inn. It was magically transformed last year into one of the hippest spots in Ontario and showing up on the international “hot lists” according to a Globe and Mail article in today’s paper! We had a lovely evening and David said at the end of the night , “We have to come back here”…..I agree! 
Stop and Smell the Lilacs
Ahhh….Batawa! What a perfect day for a ride…lilacs in bloom, quiet trail, great lunch and good friends. Just perfect 
Scouting out Simcoe County
On Saturday David and I were in Simcoe County to scout out the cycling routes for the upcoming Lake Couchiching Adventure in early June. A long day but worth it….found some fabulous routes among other interesting spots! Forty – two Cyclopaths are doing this Great Escape June 1st – 4th.

We live on a farm in the beautiful Northumberland Hills…..with three cats and a horse! AJ, our horse, is retired and living a carefree life here. So many of you have asked “How’s AJ”?…..so I thought I share a few photos….AJ, as you can see, is quite fine!
