What I Loved about the Galapagos

The Galapagos Adventure was truly that….an adventure! Who knew we’d be hiking on lava rocks, walking on black sand beaches, getting up close and personal with the wildlife, snorkelling in the Pacific (my very first time), rocking (and I mean rocking) at night to the waves of the sea, gliding through the mangroves in a panga, wet landings on the islands, climbing over crevices made thousands of years before, dining on great food, learning about the fragility of our beloved earth….and doing it all with a terrific group of real adventurers! There were lots of laughs, good times (some motion sickness and a few mishaps), new friendships made and old ones strengthened and above all……it made for wonderful memories.

In August 25 enthusiastic Great Escapers spent 10 days in Europe……We were first in Grindelwald, Switzerland for three nights and then enjoyed a fabulous cruise on the Rhine from Basel to Amsterdam! Amazing Great Escape.
